Who We Are

Each year seniors at Casa Grande High School are required to do a year long project relating to something they are interested in but have never done before in their life. For our senior project we, Sara and Mary, have developed a program to allow young people from the Dominican Republic to achieve their dream of abtaining a university education. It is our hope that this program will carry on to help countless other young people realize their dream of an extended education as well.<

Our Vision

This program would enable young people in the Dominican Republic to achieve their dream of obtaining a university education, something that few have the opportunity to experience.

Our Goal

It is our hope to offer a four year university education to three deserving young people. For us to accomplish our goal, we need to raise $26,031.00

Your Part

We need 100 people to commit to $20.00 a month for one year to allow our vision and goal to become a reality for Wendis, Daniel, and Ibane.

Wendis

Wendis is in her second year of college and has a G.P.A. of 3.8. She is studying Elementary Education and is taking a fulll load of classes. She works diligently all week in her job in La Descubierta and boards a bus on Friday mornings at 4:00 to arrive at her classes by 7:00a.m. She stays Friday and Saturday nights in Barahona, the town where the university is located, as she continues her studies. She returns to La Descubierta on Sundays each week.

Cost of a 4 year education:

Per student cost for 4 years at university.

Fees/Classes - $3,357.00 (USD)

Books/Supplies - $3,464.00 (USD)

Incidentials - $1,856.00 (USD) -(transportaion, food, lodging,clothing)
