Fundraising for Your Trip

Una Vuda is a registered U.S. non-profit and you can use this fact when fundraising – it has proven helpful for many past volunteers. All program fees (including airfare) are tax deductible for U.S. citizens to the full extent of IRS regulations. This means family members, friends and other supporters can make tax-deductible contributions to BHBH, which can be directly applied to your program fees. You should consult your tax advisor for specifics. A receipt will be sent to each person that donates. Receipts are also sent for people who make donations through PayPal on-line.

Fundraising can often be quite a daunting task but we will help facilitate as much as we are able. Remember that with effort and dedication, you can be a successful fundraiser. We can put you in touch with past volunteers that have been successful at raising most, if not all, of their program costs.

Refund and Payment Policy

Refund Policy

Full payment is due no later than one month prior to the date of departure If, at this time, more money is in your account than the cost of the trip, and only to the extent that money was paid personally and not donated on your behalf, a refund will be paid if such amount is over $100.00. If the amount is less than $100.00, it will be rolled over into the scholarship fund. If your trip has been paid for in part or in total by donations from others, no refund will be made but the money will be rolled over into the scholarship fund or reserved for your use in a future trip. Payments made by the participants or their parents will be refunded minus the cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy

A cancellation fee will be assessed as follows:

  • Three months prior to date of departure, a $200.00 cancellation fee will be assessed.
  • Two months prior to date of departure a $300.00 cancellation fee will be assessed.
  • One month prior to date of departure a $400.00 cancellation fee will be assessed.
